Wendy Houses & Nutec Homes in Zeerust, North West

Wendy houses, Nutec homes, log cabins and farm buildings built, delivered and assembled in Zeerust and across the Ramotshere Moiloa district. Over 15 years in the trade and a 5-year workmanship warranty on every build.

2 Brothers Wendy’s builds and installs Wendy houses in Zeerust and throughout the surrounding North West farmland. We manufacture the panels at our Gauteng workshop, load them onto our own trailers, and send our own installation team out to assemble on site — so one company is accountable from the first quote to the final handover.

Zeerust sits on the N4 between Rustenburg and the Botswana border, in cattle and maize country where a lot of our work happens on farms rather than in town. Farm work has its own requirements: buildings that go up quickly on properties kilometres from the nearest hardware store, structures that can be added to later, and accommodation for staff that will still be sound in fifteen years.

Every Nutec house in Zeerust we build is treated with waxoil and mahogany sealer for waterproofing and termite resistance, roofed in galvanised corrugated or IBR sheeting, and set on a foundation matched to the ground it is standing on. We handle electrical and plumbing in-house, so the building arrives usable rather than half-done.

What We Build in the Zeerust District

Everything is manufactured to your dimensions rather than pulled off a fixed catalogue, so a farm store and a family home get the same attention.

Wendy Houses

Traditional timber Wendy houses in any size, with wooden windows, sturdy wooden floors and galvanised corrugated roofing. The straightforward option for storage, a workshop or a spare room.

Nutec Houses

Fibre-cement clad homes that stand up to North West summers and termites far better than raw timber. Bachelor units through to three-bedroom family houses.

Workers’ Quarters

Durable staff and domestic quarters for cattle, game and crop farms across the Marico and Lehurutshe areas, with ablutions plumbed in.

Hunting Huts & Guest Chalets

Handcrafted log and Nutec chalets for hunting farms and guest lodges — the kind of building that has to look good in a brochure as well as last.

Site & Security Offices

Relocatable panelised site offices, guard huts and workers’ ablution units for contractors working the N4 corridor and the border posts.

Tool Sheds & Farm Stores

Lockable timber sheds and implement stores with corrugated iron roofs and raised wooden floors, built to keep feed and equipment dry.

Wendy Houses in Zeerust & the Surrounding Farms

Zeerust is our base for the western North West, and we work outward from it across the whole Ramotshere Moiloa district.

Wendy Houses & Nutec Homes in Zeerust

In Zeerust itself, most of our work falls into two categories. The first is backyard accommodation — Nutec bachelor flats and two-room units built as granny flats or as rental income on properties in town and in Ikageleng. The second is garden offices, tool sheds and workshops for homeowners who need a lockable, dry space without adding a brick room onto the house.

Zeerust sits high on the western Highveld, which means hot dry summers with hard afternoon thunderstorms and genuinely cold winter nights. We build for both: insulated ceilings to hold heat overnight in winter, roof overhangs and cross-ventilation to keep the building bearable in December, and galvanised corrugated or IBR roofing over correct purlin spacing so hail is not an annual repair bill.

Because Zeerust is a straight run up the N4 from us, delivery here is quick and quoted per trip rather than padded. We build in Zeerust, Ikageleng, Welbedacht and on the smallholdings around town.

Farm Buildings around Groot Marico, Ottoshoop & Lehurutshe

Outside town the brief changes. On the cattle and game farms between Groot Marico, Ottoshoop and Swartruggens we build workers’ quarters, domestic quarters and farm stores — buildings that need to be tough, simple to maintain, and cheap to extend when the operation grows. In the Lehurutshe and Dinokana areas we do a lot of family accommodation and backyard units.

Along the Botswana border, near Skilpadshek and the Pioneer Gate route, we also build guest chalets and hunting huts for lodges and hunting farms. Those get the log cabin treatment: exposed timber, a proper veranda, and a finish that photographs well.

Distance is the main constraint out here. We deliver in panels on our own trailers and assemble on site, so a gravel farm road, a narrow gate or a build spot 40 kilometres from the tar does not stop the job. Give us a pin location and a note on vehicle access and we will plan around it.

Built for North West Conditions

The western Highveld is a specific climate — dry heat, violent summer storms, cold winter nights and long distances. Here is what we change for it.

Hot Days, Cold Nights

Zeerust swings hard between afternoon heat and winter frost. Insulated ceilings and correct wall detailing keep the inside temperature stable, which matters far more here than in a coastal climate.

Thunderstorms & Hail

Summer storms come in fast and hard. Galvanised corrugated or IBR roofing over properly spaced purlins, with adequate overhang and fall, is standard on every North West build.

Termite Protection

Termites are active across the Marico bushveld. All structural timber is treated with waxoil and mahogany sealer, and we recommend a raised brick plinth rather than resting timber on soil.

Long Farm Distances

A lot of the district is well off the N4. We deliver panelised and assemble on site, so remote farm builds are routine rather than a special arrangement.

How a Zeerust Build Works

Four steps from first call to keys in hand. Most Zeerust and district jobs run three to five weeks end to end.

Site Check

We confirm access, ground conditions and the right foundation. For remote farms we can work off photos and a pin location.

Manufacture

Panels, doors, windows and roof sheeting are cut and treated at our workshop while your foundation is prepared.

Delivery & Assembly

Our own team comes out on the N4, assembles on site, finishes electrical and plumbing, and hands over a building you can use that day.

Areas We Cover in North West

Zeerust is our western North West base, but the N4 corridor puts most of the province within an easy delivery run. If your town is not listed, ask — we almost certainly get there.

Zeerust Wendy House Questions

How much does a Wendy house cost in Zeerust?

It comes down to size, cladding, foundation and the delivery run. A basic timber tool shed sits at the bottom of the range and a fully finished Nutec family home with electrical and plumbing at the top. Because Zeerust is straight up the N4, our delivery charge here is lower than for comparable distances off the main routes. Send your dimensions and location for a written quote.

Do you build on farms outside Zeerust?

Yes, and it is a large share of what we do in the district. We deliver in panels and assemble on site, which means gravel roads, farm gates and a build spot well away from the tar are all workable. We do ask for a pin location and confirmation that a light delivery vehicle and trailer can reach the site.

How long does a Nutec house take to build?

Manufacturing typically runs two to four weeks depending on size and current workload. On-site assembly is usually one to three days for a standard unit, longer for double-storey or multi-room builds. We give you a date at quote stage rather than after you have paid.

Can you build workers’ quarters with ablutions?

Yes. Staff and domestic quarters with plumbed ablutions are a standard build for us on farms around Groot Marico, Ottoshoop and Lehurutshe. Because we do the plumbing and electrical in-house, the unit is handed over connected and working rather than waiting on a separate contractor.

Will a Wendy house survive North West hail and storms?

A properly built one will. The failures you see out here are almost always thin roof sheeting, purlins spaced too far apart or an inadequate overhang. We roof in galvanised corrugated or IBR over correct spacing, with fall and overhang specified for Highveld storms, and back the workmanship for five years.

Do you build guest chalets and hunting huts?

Yes. Hunting huts, guest chalets and lodge accommodation are a regular job for us on the farms toward the Botswana border and around the Marico. These are usually specified as log or timber-clad builds with a veranda, because appearance matters as much as durability for a guest-facing building.
