Wendy Houses & Nutec Homes in Mpumalanga

Wendy houses, Nutec homes, log cabins and site offices built, delivered and assembled across Mpumalanga — Nelspruit, Witbank, Bethal and Carolina. Over 15 years in the trade and a 5-year workmanship warranty on every build.

2 Brothers Wendy’s builds and installs Wendy houses in Mpumalanga for homeowners, farmers, guest lodges and mining contractors. We manufacture the panels at our Gauteng workshop, load them onto our own trailers, and send our own installation team out to assemble on site — one company from quote to handover, not a supplier plus a builder you have to find yourself.

Mpumalanga is really two provinces in one, and we build differently for each. On the Highveld around Witbank, Bethal and Carolina the challenge is frost, hail and coal dust. Down the escarpment in the Lowveld around Nelspruit and White River it is humidity, heavy summer rainfall and steep, uneven ground. A structure specified for eMalahleni is not the right structure for Mbombela, and quoting it as if it were is how people end up with a rotting building three years later.

Every Nutec house in Mpumalanga we build is treated with waxoil and mahogany sealer for waterproofing and termite resistance, roofed in galvanised corrugated or IBR sheeting, and founded on a brick plinth, concrete raft or steel stilts depending on the site. Electrical and plumbing are done in-house.

What We Build Across Mpumalanga

Everything is manufactured to your dimensions rather than pulled off a fixed catalogue — from a tool shed to a double-storey Nutec home with a balcony.

Wendy Houses

Traditional timber Wendy houses in any size, with wooden windows, sturdy wooden floors and galvanised corrugated roofing. Storage, workshop or spare room.

Nutec Houses

Fibre-cement clad homes that handle Lowveld humidity and Highveld frost far better than raw timber. Bachelor units through to three-bedroom family homes.

Holiday Chalets & Lodges

Guest chalets and self-catering units for tourism properties around Nelspruit, White River and the Kruger gateway towns — often raised on stilts for a view.

Site & Security Offices

Relocatable panelised site offices, guard huts and ablution blocks for the coal mining and construction operations around eMalahleni and Middelburg.

Granny Flats & Backyard Rentals

Self-contained flats with electrical and plumbing installed, built as family accommodation or as rental income in Witbank and Bethal suburbs.

Farm Cottages & Stores

Worker cottages, implement stores and lockable sheds for the maize, cattle and forestry operations across the Highveld and escarpment.

Wendy Houses in Nelspruit, Bethal, Carolina & Witbank

These four towns cover most of our Mpumalanga work, and the brief is different in each. Here is what we actually build where.

Nutec Homes & Chalets in Nelspruit / Mbombela

Mbombela and the wider Lowveld bring us two kinds of work. The first is tourism: self-catering chalets, guest units and garden cottages for properties around Nelspruit, White River and the roads toward the Kruger gates. The second is residential — garden cottages and Nutec flats on the large, sloping suburban plots in Riverside, Sonheuwel and the outlying smallholdings.

Lowveld ground is rarely flat and Lowveld air is rarely dry. Both matter. We raise chalets on steel or timber stilts rather than cutting platforms into a slope, which keeps the structure clear of runoff, lets air move underneath, and usually gives you a better view off the veranda for no extra cost. Timber gets a heavier treatment schedule here than on the Highveld because summer humidity and rainfall are unforgiving on anything underspecified.

We build in Mbombela, Nelspruit, White River, Riverside, Kanyamazane, Hazyview and along the R40 corridor.

Farm Cottages & Wendy Houses in Bethal

Bethal sits in maize and coal country, and our work here reflects that. On the farms it is worker cottages, implement stores and lockable sheds — buildings that get used hard, need to be dry inside, and should be simple enough that a farm handyman can maintain them without calling anyone in. In town and in Emzinoni, the demand is for backyard rentals and Nutec granny flats.

The Highveld winter around Bethal is genuinely cold, with regular frost from May through August. An uninsulated Wendy house here is a fridge. We fit insulated ceilings as standard, seal joints properly, and specify wall detailing that holds overnight warmth rather than shedding it, which makes the difference between a building people use and one they abandon in winter.

We deliver to Bethal, Emzinoni, eMzinoni, Kinross, Secunda, Leandra and the surrounding farms.

Nutec Cottages & Guest Units in Carolina

Carolina and the Chief Albert Luthuli area is grassland farming country, with the Badplaas valley and its hot springs drawing steady tourism traffic just down the road. That mix gives us two streams of work: farm cottages, staff accommodation and stores on the surrounding properties, and small guest units and self-catering chalets for owners running weekend accommodation.

Carolina sits high and cold. Frost is routine in winter and the wind coming across open grassland is relentless, so we pay particular attention to sealing, insulation and secure roof fixing — a badly fastened roof on an exposed Highveld plot is a real risk, not a theoretical one.

Because guest units have to look right as well as last, these builds are usually specified with a timber-clad finish and a proper covered veranda rather than the plainest option.

We build in Carolina, Silobela, Badplaas, Elukwatini, Machadodorp and the surrounding farms.

Site Offices & Backyard Units in Witbank / eMalahleni

eMalahleni is the busiest of our Mpumalanga towns, and the coal industry drives most of it. Contractors need site offices, security offices, change rooms and ablution blocks that can be standing within days and taken apart again when a contract closes out. We build those as panelised Nutec units that bolt together on site, so a two-room site office can be delivered and operational in a day.

Alongside that there is heavy residential demand. Backyard Nutec flats and bachelor units in Klarinet, Kwa-Guqa, Reyno Ridge and the extensions are a reliable rental income, and we build a lot of them. We also get asked for double-storey units where the stand is small and the only way to add space is upward.

Coal dust and industrial air are hard on paint and steel. We use galvanised roofing and finish the exterior for the environment it is going into rather than a generic spec.

We cover eMalahleni, Witbank, Klarinet, Kwa-Guqa, Reyno Ridge, Middelburg and Ogies.

Built for Mpumalanga Conditions

Highveld and Lowveld need different buildings. These are the four things we change depending on which side of the escarpment you are on.

Lowveld Humidity & Rainfall

Around Nelspruit and White River, summer humidity and heavy rain punish underspecified timber. We use a heavier waxoil and mahogany treatment schedule, generous roof overhangs and raised foundations so the structure stays dry underneath.

Highveld Frost & Cold

Bethal and Carolina get regular winter frost. Insulated ceilings, sealed joints and correct wall detailing are standard, because an uninsulated unit on the Highveld simply does not get used in July.

Hail, Wind & Roof Fixing

Summer hail and open-grassland wind are the two things that destroy cheap Highveld structures. Galvanised corrugated or IBR sheeting over correctly spaced purlins, properly fastened, is not optional on these builds.

Sloping & Uneven Ground

Escarpment and Lowveld plots are seldom level. Rather than cutting into a slope we raise units on steel or timber stilts, which handles runoff, improves ventilation underneath and usually improves the view as well.

Mpumalanga Wendy House Questions

How much does a Wendy house cost in Mpumalanga?

It depends on size, cladding, foundation and the delivery run. A basic timber tool shed sits at the bottom of the range, a finished Nutec family home with electrical and plumbing at the top. Delivery to Witbank is naturally cheaper than delivery to Nelspruit, and we quote that openly rather than folding a vague travel charge into the price. Send dimensions and your town for a written quote.

Do you build on sloping plots in the Lowveld?

Yes, and it is one of the things we do best. Rather than cutting a platform into a slope we raise the unit on steel or timber stilts. That handles runoff, keeps air moving under the floor in a humid climate, and usually gives you a far better outlook off the veranda than a ground-level build would.

Can a site office in Witbank be relocated later?

Yes. Our site offices, security offices and ablution units are panelised, so they bolt together and come apart again. Contractors around eMalahleni and Middelburg move ours between sites routinely. Mention at quote stage that relocation matters and we specify the connections for it.

Will a Nutec house handle Highveld frost around Bethal and Carolina?

With insulation, yes. The units that fail on the Highveld are the ones with no ceiling insulation and poorly sealed joints — they are unusable in winter. We fit insulated ceilings as standard on Highveld builds and detail the walls to hold overnight warmth, which is the difference between a room people live in and one they lock up in May.

How long does delivery to Nelspruit take?

Manufacturing runs roughly two to four weeks depending on size and current order load, and delivery to the Lowveld is scheduled once your unit is complete and your foundation is ready. On-site assembly is usually one to three days for a standard unit, longer for chalets on stilts or double-storey builds.

Do you build double-storey Nutec homes?

Yes. On small stands in eMalahleni and Witbank, building upward is often the only way to get the space, and we build double-storey Nutec homes with covered balconies and ground-floor garaging. These need a properly engineered foundation, so a site visit is required rather than optional.
